Staying Safe During Vancouver's Fireworks
Summer is here for Vancouver, and with it comes fireworks! With Honda's Celebration of Light coming to an end, our Burnaby driving instructors have put together a list of tips for staying safe during the fireworks.
1) Take public transit
There is no worse nightmare than that of post-fireworks traffic. With streets blocked off, pedestrians who may have had a bit too much to drink, and double the normal traffic, we recommend leaving the car at home and taking the skytrain!
2) Be aware
The beach gets flooded with hundreds of thousands of people. Be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings close by. Avoid individuals who appear intoxicated and always travel with friends.
3) Report unruly behaviour to the police
The Vancouver Police Department is great at keeping the peace during the busy fireworks season! They are there for your safety. Be sure to report anyone who is overly-intoxicated or disturbing others.
From our Burnaby driving school, remember to stay safe during these busy nights!
